The MLU announced Thursday that Joe Anderson has won the Week 10 Innova Pulsar Throw of the Week for his hammer to Sean Murray in Saturday’s game against the D.C. Current.

While the Rumble fell to the D.C. Current 15-21 in their Week 10 matchup, the game still provided plenty of exciting plays. All tied up at 1-1 in the beginning of the first quarter, Joe Anderson found himself on the sideline, 25 yards out of the end zone with no help coming from downfield, as the rest of the team was still catching up to the play. Anderson spotted Sean Murray on the breakside in the end zone and ripped a perfect hammer to him to put the Rumble up by one.

Reflecting on the play, Anderson said he caught the disc and saw that Alan Kolick was fronting Sean Murray. When Murray peeled off to the break side, Kolick didn’t follow so he made him pay for it.

“Our D-line has not had a great conversion percentage all year,” said Anderson. “As a leader on this defense, I want to do everything I can to get us more breaks, even if it means taking some risks.”
