The Rumble announced today that SportsCare Institute will serve as the Official Athletic Training partner of the New York Rumble for the 2016 season.
The New York Rumble have partnered with SportsCare Institute to be the team’s Official Athletic Training Partners for the 2016 MLU Season.
The Rumble made several significant moves over the offseason, adding 20 rookies to the roster and naming Bell Stadium in Orange, N.J. as their home field. Drawing from one of the most populous regions in the world, the Rumble looked to identify a partner that could offer services to as many players, staff and fans as possible.
“SportsCare Institute was an ideal fit for the New York Rumble this season.” said Billy Sickles, MLU Partnership Development Associate. “With a roster drawing players all over the New York/New Jersey area, and the Home stadium in Orange, N.J, it was critical that we found a partner that could be accessible, reliable and had experience with all different forms of athletes.”
With 60 locations in New York, New Jersey and Florida, SportsCare Institute made an ideal partner for the team, providing top notch care for the entire Rumble community.
“SportsCare prides itself on providing our quality care and services in areas where [a Certified Athletic Trainer] is not provided, yet is needed.” said Ashley Jensen, one of SportsCare’s Exercise Physiologist. “Our Sports Medicine Program also offers injury prevention and concussion recognition, both of which are vital for the MLU athletes.”
Like most sports, ultimate requires athletes of all levels to take care when competing, yet even the most cautious of athletes inevitably deals with injury. With that in mind, the Rumble sought out a top level training partner to help keep their athletes on the field and in top condition.
“We will be able to perform a thorough screening for the MLU teams prior to play and in the event of an injury.” continued Jensen. “Our trainers will evaluate the athletes, recognizing certain weakness, flexibility issues, body asymmetries, etc., and provide the team and athletes with exercise and treatment recommendations to reduce injury rate, as well as be able treat any injuries.”
Additionally during the season, the team will publish the “New York Rumble Injury Report presented by SportsCare Institute” before each game. These reports, published on the team’s web properties, will be an invaluable resource to all fans following the team, but particularly to those involved in MLU Fantasy.
Meet the team from SportsCare Institute and see the Rumble in action at their Season Opener against the Philadelphia Spinners at Bell Stadium in Orange, N.J. on April 9th at 4pm.
