The New York Rumble head into Week 5 ranked fifth in the MLU Power Rankings, following a weeklong hiatus in the sixth spot.

The Rumble are now 2-2 for the season after a huge 18-17 win against the Boston Whitecaps in Week 4. That puts them at second in the Eastern Conference, but they face a serious opponent for the next two weeks – the D.C. Current, who are currently ranked first in the league.

The team is starting to wrangle their immense talent, and it seems like all the pieces are finally coming together for the boys from New York. A win would move them up significantly in the rankings, and two in a row would be even more remarkable – they face D.C. twice in the next two weeks.

“Our team isn’t concerned about power rankings in May, we’re concerned about being the best team we can in June,” said Isaac Saul. He believes the Rumble can beat anybody as long as they play their best Ultimate.

“I have no doubt that while we are ranked fifth now, we will be one of the top two teams at the end,” said Head Coach Anthony Nuñez.

Other team members echoed this sentiment as well, and they are excited to see how the team continues to progress over the course of the season.

The Rumble take the field at Cardinal Stadium at Catholic University beginning at 6 p.m on Saturday, May 10. D.C. heads to New York the following week for a rematch on Saturday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m.
