The New York Rumble have signed offensive cutter David “T-Lake” Vuckovich for the 2014 season.

Vuckovich is a newcomer to the MLU who has played club Ultimate with New York-based PoNY and several Rumble players for the last few seasons.

“More often than not, if the offense gets the disc back it’s because of T-Lake,” said PoNY teammate, Robbie Gillies. “He has an uncanny ability to come up big in big situations and I can’t wait for him to be showing his skills with the Rumble.”

Excited to join his teammates in a Rumble jersey, Vuckovich joins a growing squad that continues to show signs that they will be a major contender in the Eastern Conference.

“I played with a bunch of the guys who were on the team last year. I love the camaraderie everyone has and would love to be part of that atmosphere,” says Vuckovich. “Chris Mazur was also a big reason. The last two years have been great. He has made me a better player and I hope to push him this year as well.”

Vuckovich, Mazur and Gillies believe that the chemistry formed from playing club Ultimate together will be a major asset for the 2014 MLU season. Adding a player who excels on both offense and defense provides the Rumble with another reliable weapon for season two.

“Seeing David progress as a leader on PoNY this last year was a treat as a teammate,” said 2013 Eastern Conference MVP Chris Mazur. “I’m most looking forward to seeing him go back to simply playing. He’s the definition of a playmaker and won’t be able to fly under the national radar for long.”
