The New York Rumble announced Monday that six Rumble players will square off against six rival Boston players in a disc golf challenge on Sunday, April 6th.

The regular season may not begin until a week later on April 12th when the Rumble will visit the Boston Whitecaps, but a challenge has been issued and accepted between New York and Boston players.

The groups will meet on neutral ground at Wickham Park DGC in Manchester, CT, where players on each team will attempt to gain bragging rights before they meet up again one week later. Play format will consist of three foursomes, each with two Rumble and two Whitecaps players.

Nothing has been wagered on the outcome just yet, but it’s a safe bet that the Rumble players will come out looking to win. Players and staff will be livetweeting from the event so be sure to look out for updates and banter.

Participating players from the Rumble include 2013 Eastern Conference MVP Chris Mazur (@chrismazur), Andy Bosco (@thehog26), Lucas Murphy, Austin Raymond and newcomers Sean Murray (@seanmurray81) and Kevin Riley.  Josh Markette, Brandon Malecek, Henry Brecher, Christian Foster, Jim Foster and Matt Rebholz will be representing the Whitecaps.

Rumble fans will be able to participate in the event as well! Stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter this week, where we will be hosting a contest for the chance to caddy for the event. Winners will caddy for two players on the team they support (NY or Boston) and each winner will also receive an Innova shirt, hat, disc golf bag and a set of discs!

Stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter to find out how you can win and be a part of this event!
