The New York Rumble is proud to announce “The Eagle’s Nest” as its home venue for the inaugural 2013 season.

Located on the roof of Union City High School in Union City, New Jersey, right outside of the Lincoln Tunnel, fans will have an easy commute from any direction. In addition, there is the option to park in the parking garage just a block or two away.

“New Jersey is the birthplace of Ultimate – it helps remind the players of their roots while scoring in an end zone that catches a view of the New York City skyline. It seemed perfect,” said GM Michelle Kondracki.

The Eagle’s Nest is a state of the art facility that can hold 2,500 screaming Rumble fans. The field is artificial turf and has a 40-foot high net behind each end zone to catch any stray discs. It has also been home to other professional sporting events, including the NFL’s Play for 60 camp as well as pre-game practices for the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.

“We’ve already had a great experience working with the school’s Athletic Director David Clauser and we are excited to see what the future holds,” said Anthony Nuñez, Assistant Coach of the Rumble. The Rumble players will have their first chance next weekend to meet and help some of the school’s students, who have raised money for the Relay for Life.
