John Irvine #80
Goals: 15 Assists: 2 Blocks: 4
MLU Experience: 1
The New York Rumble focused on developing young talent in 2016, and couldn’t have been happier with what they saw from Irvine during his rookie campaign. A versatile cutter from The College of New Jersey, Irvine showed strong play on both sides of the disc and a nose a for the end zone. Spliting his points played almost equally between O-line (60) and D-line (67), Irvine proved to be a jack-of-all-trades for the young Rumble.
After getting off to a slow start early in the season, Irvine ended the year on an absolutely tear, recording 10 goals, 2 assists and a block over his final three games in 2016. His 15 goals were tied for most on the team, and his completion percentage (91.1%) was second highest among Rumble players to play at least 100 points on the year.
